How to Schedule a Visit at Altcourse Prison
Booking visits at Altcourse Prison is primarily the responsibility of the inmates through the CMS system. A maximum of three adults are allowed per visit, along with any accompanying children. Visits should ideally be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and can be booked up to 7 days in advance. All visiting spots are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, except in emergency situations.

- Monday – Thursday : 13:00-16:30; 18:00-19:30
- Friday: 13:00-16:30
- Saturday and Sunday: 08:30-12:00; 13:00-16:30
How To Book A Prison Visit To Altcourse Prison:
You can book visits by calling either 0151 522 2196 or 0151 522 2042 between 08:30-18:00 during the week ( it shuts an hour earlier on Friday’s). You must give at least 24hrs notice for a visit, and you can only book 7 days in advance.

By Train
The nearest train station to Altcourse Prison is Fazakerley Station. To get there, you can start from Liverpool Central Station in the city center and take the Northern Line Kirkby train to Fazakerley Station.
By Foot
After arriving at Fazakerley Station, the prison is accessible by foot.
By Bus
You can also reach Altcourse Prison by bus from Paradise Street transport exchange in the city center. Take either bus number 20 or 21 from stand 9 to Longmoor Lane, followed by bus 121 to the prison. Alternatively, take bus number 17 from stand 5 at the Paradise Street transport exchange to Fazakerley Hospital, and then catch bus 121 to the prison.
