PRISON CALLS TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By subscribing to our services, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with ProjectTelecoms.co.uk. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at info@projecttelecoms.co.uk.

 

These Terms govern your use of our telephone diversion services, which provide a landline number to facilitate cheaper calls from prisoners to your mobile.

1. Application

These Terms apply to all purchases made by you (the “Customer”) for services and goods from ProjectTelecoms.co.uk. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. You may only purchase if legally eligible to enter into a contract.


2. Interpretation

  • Consumer: An individual acting for personal purposes.

  • Contract: The agreement between you and us.

  • Goods: Any hardware or items provided with our services.

  • Order: Your submitted request to purchase services.

  • Services: The call diversion services and any associated goods.

  • Website: www.projecttelecoms.co.uk


3. The Service

ProjectTelecoms offers a subscription-based call diversion package:

  • A UK landline number is assigned to you.

  • Inbound calls from prisoners are diverted to your mobile.

  • Prisoners benefit from lower landline rates.

You request service activation within your statutory 14-day cancellation period.

We reserve the right to make adjustments to comply with laws or technical requirements.


4. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.

  • Keep us updated on changes.

  • Cooperate with any required verification.

Failure to do so may result in service suspension or termination.


5. Subscription & Payment

  • Subscription plans and fees are available on our website.

  • Your subscription renews monthly until cancelled.

  • Cancellation must be requested 30 days before renewal.

  • If payment fails, we may attempt other methods or suspend service.

  • Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.


6. Fair Usage Policy & Use of Minutes

We include diverted call minutes as part of your subscription. However:

  • Fair usage limit: 4000 minutes per month.

  • Overage charge: 2p per minute beyond 4000 minutes.

You will be notified of excessive usage. Repeat overuse may lead to restrictions or cancellation.


7. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel by contacting info@projecttelecoms.co.uk.

  • If cancelled within 14 days, you may be charged a setup/admin fee of up to £25 and for minutes used at 6p/min.

  • After 14 days, the full month’s fee (£25) applies.

  • No refunds for subscriptions paid via promotional or gift codes.


8. Delivery & Ownership

  • We deliver services within a reasonable time (no more than 30 days).

  • Goods become your responsibility upon delivery.

  • Ownership transfers only upon full payment.


9. Risk & Title

  • Risk passes to you on delivery.

  • You do not own goods until fully paid for.


10. Contract Formation

  • Your order is only accepted once we send an email confirmation.

  • You are responsible for checking the accuracy of your order.


11. Withdrawal & Distance Selling Rights

You have the right to withdraw from your order before confirmation.

  • A 14 or 30-day cancellation window applies (depending on goods or service type).

  • Any early cancellation where service is supplied triggers a fee of £25.


12. Conformity & Guarantees

We ensure:

  • Services will be delivered with reasonable skill and care.

  • Goods match descriptions and are of satisfactory quality.

  • After-sales support includes account monitoring and renewal reminders.


13. Duration, Suspension & Termination

Either party may terminate if:

  • There is a serious or repeated breach of contract.

  • Insolvency proceedings begin.

Termination does not affect accrued rights or outstanding payments.


14. Transfer & Subcontracting

You may not transfer the contract without our consent. We may use subcontractors but remain responsible for their performance.


15. Events Beyond Control

We are not liable for failure to perform due to events outside our control (e.g., natural disasters, network outages). We will resume performance as soon as feasible.


16. Limitation of Liability

We do not exclude liability for:

  • Death or injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

We are not liable for:

  • Business losses

  • Indirect or unforeseeable losses


17. Governing Law & Complaints

  • This contract is governed by UK law.

  • Disputes will be resolved under English, Welsh or Northern Irish jurisdiction.

  • For complaints, contact info@projecttelecoms.co.uk. We aim to respond within 5 working days.


18. Agreement Changes

We may revise these Terms for legal, technical, or operational reasons.

  • You will be notified of material changes.

  • You may cancel if you do not accept the changes.

  • Subscription fee increases will only apply at the end of your current term.


19. Comparison Table & Disclaimer

Other providers may charge up to 10p/min for prisoner-to-mobile calls. Our service allows the prisoner to call a local landline instead.

Disclaimer: “Unlimited” refers to access to diverted calls. The prisoner still incurs standard landline call charges as set by their prison telecom provider.
